Obruta Space Solutions Corp. is excited to announce that we will be undertaking a one year feasibility study focused on continuing the development and validation of our novel space debris removal tethered-net technology. This project titled “Novel Multi-Target Space Debris Removal Technology Feasibility Study” is undertaken with the financial support of the Canadian Space Agency as a part of the Space Technology Development Program.
The objective of this project is to determine the feasibility and key technical aspects of Obruta’s novel space debris removal tethered-net technology in a mission scenario. This project will accelerate the development of Obruta’s technology and presents a big step towards commercializing the improved form of space debris removal technology.
Obruta is working to ensure a safe orbital environment for all future spacefarers and we thank all our partners and supporters every step of the way. Obruta Space Solutions attended and exhibited at the 70th International Astronautical Congress (IAC) in Washington, D.C. as a part of the Canadian Pavilion. The Canadian Pavilion was a collection of Canadian companies organized by Satellite Canada Innovation Network Inc. (SatCan) to collectively represent Canada and exhibited together. On July 20th 1969 humans first landed on the moon. 50 years later on the anniversary of this monumental achievement Obruta Space Solutions was founded.
Inspired by Apollo and its successors, we aim to raise the bar once again as we develop the first generation of commercially available orbital servicing and space debris removal technologies.
